As he often does for acoustic numbers, he's tuned down for this.

nice playing, but more of an interpretation than an accurate lesson.

It absolutely sounds right, The acoustic rhythm and lead and down a full tone in the tuning are spot on. I believe that's the late Hugh McCracken providing the electric fills on this song. Another great lesson bro. Thanks!

At 0:47 I think that you have to repeat that two notes you play in the third string to get the lick that McCartney does, you play two notes in the third and then two on the second string. I think is great! You should do that jazzy lead guitar arrangement of that song.

To be honest, that's a Martin D41 -- you could string it with bailing wire and it would sound outstanding. I'm not loyal to any brand of strings, but I like to get coated strings as they last a heck of a lot longer. They sound brighter when they're new, too.

Nice, what strings are you using? About to order a few sets and yours sound great so would appreciate the advice!

@privettricker That's a good reason! Sometimes a full chord just doesn't sound right, I agree. I never had listened to this one very much. Great song! Thanks for all these videos, BTW. This is the best way to learn. I remember learning guitar to 5 Man Acoustical Jam, when it was a new release. Dates me a little, but it is what it is.

@chrishpippin Because that's how I hear Paul playing it.

@privettricker Any reason to play the D9 with the open fourth string and not regular and switch the bass? x 5 4 5 5 5 > 5 x 4 5 5 5 .

Loved the way you did this. Thanks for this and the lesson. It is sure not as easy as you make it look! You sure have some good timing. It is one I will want to keep working on for sure.
