The Bluegrass Brothers do this song up right. From a performance at Hoofer's Gospel Barn in LaGrange GA. Don't miss a chance to go to a show there. They have a fabulous restaurant adjoining the concert hall with a great seafood buffet Friday and Saturday nights. Thanks Rick!

For the so called professional musicians with the negative comments, I would really like to see your "professional" portfiolio, who have you played with? What label did you sign with? What venues did you play? Obviously you are not too professional as no one knows who you are and most know who the Bluegrass Brothers are. This is just from one professional musician to another. Oh and by the way, getting change on a street corner playing your instrument does not make you a professional musician and neither does getting paid $50.00 to play someones party.

I've seen your videos... Your comments are an insult to the Bluegrass Brothers, Bluegrass Fans, and the Bluegrass community at large. Please do not come back to BGRTV unless you can have something positive to say. The video has 25 thousand plus views. How many views does your best clip have?

I appreciate your comment toward me. At first I thought about rebutting but I'm going to let videos of the Country Gentlemen and Flatt and Scruggs do the talking, among others. Back in the day, I thought if I hadn't broken strings and beat my guitar half to death that I hadn't played well...I learned better. Tight harmony with good music accompaniment is the key to a good group. One question, why do you think I "don't know squat" by my comments? Can you honestly say I don't know what I'm saying?

You don't know squat. I'm leaving your comments up to embarrass you.

Having played professionally off and on for a long time, I have learned what to do and what not to do in performances. I must agree with hoodoo2001 regarding the music being too much and hollering does contribute to unstable vocals because you can't do harmony if you are shouting the words 90 MPH. This is great talent but they need to take someone's advice. Most will applaud the fast and ferocious because they don't really understand music. Ask someone who really knows...less is for sure more.

Just my opinion. It's a favorite song of mine, I'm not going out of my way to criticize the band, I just don't like this particular rendition. After getting your post I listened to it without the video in order to just concentrate on the sound and I unfortunately feel the same way. Folks will either like it or dislike it, I am sure I am the minority. I felt compelled to state the reasons why I did not like it s that is how constructive criticism works.

Really? I don't usually rebuke viewers, but your comment is kind of rude. I went to your site. I don't see your version of any music on it. This is a standard in bluegrass and has been done many different ways. This is an excellent example of being creative while also being respectful at the same time. If everybody did it like the Stanleys what would be the point. And as for Kitty Wells, I would prefer the Bluegrass Brothers version any day. Your comment is an insult sir,

Too fast and the words are too overwhelmed by the music. The words of this song were intended to be heard clearly, not shouted and run through as part of the music...Kitty Wells did it right and so does Stanley & Company. The music should be secondary to the words.
