Not Teddy P on this song. He left in 1977 IIRC. Gil Saunders was lead singer at the time this was recorded.

Came out in the UK the same time as "Treat her like a lady" by The Temps. The 12 " version was a club classic but didn't do much in the charts (who cares). Teddy P - LEGEND, a voice from heaven and when I get there, it's the first concert I'm going to. RIP.

Never really made air play in new York. I first heard it and have a demo copy that was sent to a radio station I worked for out in Long Island. Just found the demo 45 going through some old records. Their attempt at tackling the Disco sound that Phill and Motown were combating. You can almost hear ""treat her like a Lady" vibe that the Temps did back in the day.
