I feel Hank was lost but knew his calling, would it have been the same if it was pastor Hank? He played out the role God gave him to help us that battle the demons everyday. If you listen he didn't want to be what he was nor do we ...want to be what are what we are! Praise God.... I listen I drink..i smoke and I think the words hit home and make me want to do better but in the end we will see, SOFTLY AND TENDERLY... you know the rest...

When you are saved, your sins are washed away, no matter - your name is in The Book of Life.

There was a lot more to it than this. Hank was plagued with extreme pain, both physical and emotional. In the end, he had been deserted by everyone who made a fortune off his talent. He had become nothing more than a product to them. No one cared he had become too ill to preform. As sick as he was, he had to make it to that concert in Ohio. Well, he died as he lived, alone in the back seat of his car. Thank God he knew Jesus, because he wasn't really alone.

I pray you are right. He was a bad alcoholic and actually died of alcoholism in the back seat of his car while traveling to the next gig.

I bet Hank really did join that Heavenly band. His old religous songs brought so much glory to Christ. Thank God I heard my Savior's call!
