Most people that hate the Beach Boys haven't really listened to most of their songs. What other band was doing teen age songs in the early 60s and morphed in to an art rock band with Pet Sounds, then continued to progress in their own way until 1973! Than Endless Summer went platinum which put an end to them moving forward. Although Brian started to make a come back with Love You. Then he fell back into drugs and Mike took over the band.11 years ago

@OhNewRetroGamingKuts for me, "epic" is all Los Angeles is. I gauge his songs by whether or not I'd put them on a mix for a friend, and Los Angeles just doesn't make the cut, it's not quite approachable enough.
