Handel - Largo (from "Serse", organ) video free download
In this video you can hear organ interpretation of the famous Largo of Georg Friedrich Handel, who is the famous air (ombra mai fu) from opera "Serse" (HWV 40).
Handel composed this piece in 1738 and is known as "Largo" even though in its original version is a larghetto. Luca Raggi at the organ.

Really enjoyed this. It takes me back to when I was an assistant purser on the Cunard liner CARINTHIA in the 1960s. When the ship was at sea on a Sunday, a church service was held in the lounge and before the start of the service the ship's orchestra, under the direction of Arthur Plant, always played Handel's Lago. It became known as 'Arthur Plant on Sunday Morning.' !! It's always been a favourite of mine.9 years ago
