Well maybe there is a God aboveBut all I have ever learned from loveWas how to shoot somebody who outdrew youAnd it's not a cry you can hear at nightIt's not somebody who's seen the lightIt's a cold and it's a broken hallelujah

I like this version the best except for Puddles the sad clown, his version is pretty amazing.

Still my favorite version. I knew someone named David once. In order to receive love, praise, and exaltation, one must assert themselves as alpha. No man ever fell for a nice girl... he likely used and overlooked her. I plan to be more like David in the future. I will get my way and I will care about the feelings of no one. He was my Sun and Stars. I could have learned something by now. Someone once said the only cure for PTSD was to give it to others. I'm done protecting the world from reality. Serpents pass on wisdom and no one comes here without a stumbling. They need to take responsibility. There is a massive difference between innocence and stupidity.

Great song, great singing! But for me personally for some reason the song comes across better in a male voice. Probably just because I'm male though and I've already formed the story in my mind from a male perspective and I think it sounds nice in a lower key. or whatever you call it.

I realise you're joking, but this song has much greater meaning than anything depicted in 'Shrek'...In other words....Fuck Shrek!

her voice is so expressive and gorgeous. She is living and breathing this song and it brought me to tears. What a gifted singer.
