the fact that this band was on track on being huge and just disappeared is sad. These guys put some of the most addicting and creative music during the drive thru years. Wishing Halifax to come back or for a new band with these similar influences.

Amy Bites sounds unsophisticated and is implying emo has a negative connotation. I remember being 20 too.

Would be an absolutely epic band if they have a good songwriter. This bands lyrics are terribly juvenile. Good memories tho.

Ha ha I know what you mean about the ska thing, though I love bands from all the waves :)

I agree. It's unfortunate that new bands are labeled something that's already taken when their sound is quite a bit off. I listen to mostly ska and the three/four waves are so much different from each other it's mindblowing that they can be called the same thing. At least they had the sense to differentiate by giving them distinct waves, although there is one major distinct sound in that genre rather than a vague label given to bands who kinda sorta have some element of it in their sound.

ha ha yeah, but if you are gonna create a new subgenre of music, at least give it a name that isn't already used for another sub genre. Really all this new "emo" is, is a mash up of pop punk and screamo mixed together with some depressing lyrics. It has no relative similarities at all to how the first Emo bands were. Sound is nothing alike, lyrics have nothing in common and the personalities are nothing alike. Its like calling justin bieber metal just because you need a label.
