I remember hearing this song in the late spring early summer of 1992 everyday at 5:00. Perfect timing. This song got lots of hype by radio stations and I thought, oh no, not another "Achy Breaky Heart." I never thought this song would ever be a single release for Hal Ketchum when I first bought "Past The Point Of Rescue late in 1991. This is not a bad song, but "I Miss My Mary" or "Somebody's Love" was my pick for a follow up single to his #1 or #2 smash title track.

when Hal was last in GLASGOWS Grand Ole Opry.....His yodel was superb, but the most amazing and awesome thing was the bass player, KEITH joined in pitch perfect harmony. even in the Yodel simply Fantastic !!

I prefer oldies to country, but this is better than the original.

Hal lives in my area. He was on the porch of Riley's On The Backbone a few months ago and I sang harmony with him on Past The Point Of Rescue! He looked good, healthy and performed well.

Love Hal's music, like this song. But the video looks like a remake of Urban Cowboy -- don't like it. Good Health to you, Hal.

Ketchum really caught the spirit of this song... far better than the Vogues upbeat pop version
