Very true. The original sorta entered into the humorous yet lovable pop culture lexicon from the time (due to Saturday Night Live) but nobody can deny that this remix is absolutely sick. I think I first heard this on an all night mix show in Orlando back in...gosh its gotta be 91 or 92, can't remember really. Still remember it fondly to this day.

There is some seriously good candy going on for a 1992-1993 remix. Especially the synth melody at 1:57 . Good dance music was so hit and miss back then - not like now where the drums and synths have been slowly groomed over the years to the DJ'd up "fwop schlop" beats so common now. Producers like Alex Trime, the Rapino Bros, Bulo Aris, and BT shaped 90's dance music.
