and by the way have u ever listened to Trapped in A Box one of my fave No Doubt songs.....that whole album you can here the influence of jazz, punk..they wouldn't have trumpet players in their band for no reason.... Gwen's vocals have always been unique ...to mix her almost gasping/drowning/crying for help voice with some jazzy melody was fucking natural and genius..and those who were upset that they made an album paying homage to reggae need to really listen to other genres to feel the passion

If you idiots only realized that way before, Hey Baby or Holla back girl..Gwen and No Doubt always were interested in different genres. They had a metal guitarist, a bass player that was intrigued by Ska during a performance of No Doubt before the official 6. Eric who was enormously fantastic with that piano and song writing. They loved good music whether it were punk, jazz/blues/metal/hip hop/surf/pop/ska. Do not complain of them not being punk they always were they just love making music.
