have played this song, baby took a limo to Memphis, stuff that works, and several other Guy Clark songs, at different open mike nites. and it"s always as if i am reading a story to the people in the bar, most every one is listing as the story unfolds. people will always come up to me after word and comment that they have never heard these songs before and how much they enjoyed them. wish i had a way to convey this to guy.
