Love GBV always, but this one touches me particularly deeply as a father of a daughter. To me it's a song about doing the best to show your kid a path towards independence. You have to teach them the conventions of society (orange - stop - signs), but also to ignore the ones that will not match their deeply held inner beliefs. You must be loving and honest, no BS, but hard as you may try to protect them from harm, that will not always be possible and at some point you have to let them go their own way and hope for the best.
