Man. Something about the old 4 track sound of this song is almost eerie. The guitar track hits something like a mangled old violin. And when Robert hits his falsetto and the sound cuts out.. It is unsettling in the most comfortable way possible. There is a perfection in this songs imperfection, nothing less than expected of GBV.

A song like this is the perfect representation of how fucking awesome Bob is. Has a Pink Floyd trade off vocal kind of thing going on. All Bob, of course. Absolute genius. In less than 2 minutes too. Gotta love him.

This song showcases their studio creativity. the vocals seem to come from a different setting each section. Maybe even vastly different mics being used. Probably my favorite song by them but this album and Under the Bushes Under the Stars are both non-stop enjoyment. the more you listen, the more the genius is obvious. enjoy!
