The musical ideas in this are really good. There is amazing potential here. Now focus on a few more things:1) The drop (even in tropical house) almost always has some sort of bass instrument. Normally more than one (eg. acoustic bass and then sub bass)2) Try and mix your instruments. EQ all of them and limit them. Try and make it sound like the instruments are all working in tandem and not fighting for space in the final mixdown. An example is the vocal at the start: it gets loud at times but as soon as a bit of reverb comes in or the piano strikes a chord, it gets quite to accommodate for the sound these things make. Instead, try and have the vocals at an altogether lower volume so it doesn't get compressed and in turn, audibly oppressed :) Trust me, mixing is the hardest part of any production, but doing it right pays a lot,3) I am not sure about this one, but is the melody in the drop entirely diatonic? Just making sure.4) Adding a touch of reverb and spacing out your instruments gives it more of a real feel and makes your mix sound more though through and professional, from my experience.
