I recently went on a trip and visited the land where the battle of the Somme took place. I was listening to this song at the time and it really helped me connect with how horrific the battle had been and how each person that died there was a person and not just a number. They had a family, friends, hopes and dream, aspirations. They had a whole future ahead of them which was ripped away by the brutality of war. Rest in Peace all of you brave soldiers on both sides of the war.
