Gretchen, I listened to the Blackbirds album twice today on your web site. Really, really enjoy it! Thank you! My wife is a hospice nurse. I played The Cure for the Pain for her this evening, and she thought it was awesome. She listened to it several times and followed along with your lyrics. She said that's pretty much exactly what she has told family members of hospice patients on many occasions. They want to avoid the pain of losing their loved one, somehow, but as you've expressed in the song, there really is no way to avoid it. No cure but to go through it.
