The Sludge Hammer is an unabashed doom/sludge/stoner distortion/fuzz machine. Roy Zichri, owner and designer at Greenhouse Effects is a serious fan of that music. Roy is also talented enough to be able to can it and offer it to the world in this form: The Sludge Hammer.

Like all of the Greenhouse Effects stomps, the Sludge Hammer not only gives you what you expect, but it offers other things as well. Little treats. In this case you can choose between Vintage or Modern Doom via the mini-toggle in the centre of the SH, and you can also put some mid-punch into your melancholy via the Body knob. I like it a lot and had a lot of fun making this video.

I have one question, though: Who is the floating person on the face?

Roy, you've done it again. People, reap Roy's work and doom on.

may someone suggest me a more affordable and available very similar pedal? Or is this one the only to make this kind of sound?

I could be wrong, but I gather it's Pete de Freitas from Echo and the Bunnymen.

We all know that the lines between overdrive, distortion and fuzz, blur. We see this time and time again (and no one is complaining...it's all ..great) But this fuzz seems to go beyond simple fuzz...I think we need a new term. How about "Sterilizerzz"? the direct result of standing too close to the amp when you push the button. Yes, I think I like that one...

Man, I bet the Wife Sadie & the animals ran out of the house during this video. LOL Hey Mom, Dad's playing that Devil music again. LOL That thing has more gain than most Dist. pedal at max gain. LOL Great demo. Off beat question, in the USA the price of a Laney head like your using 100 watts and the smaller 20 watt version doesn't have much of a price difference, I wonder why?
