When I mean it's loud in the UK I mean if I don't wear ear plugs my ears are ringing and painful for 3 days. I'm going to at least one concert per week and don't want to damage my ears.

Wasn't super loud - I've heard them louder - I remember a gig at Brixton in about 1995 where my ears rang for days - and Wembley Arena being really loud too, but I was right next to the array - which might have caused that one! My ears didn't ring after this gig, and I was in the front row. But they were using the house rig I think - which is OK because Shepherds Bush is a proper venue, but I suspect if they'd brought their own FOH it would have been about 4 times louder!

The mark of a good band? When they can pull it off live to sound just as good as the recorded versions. I've seen lots of bands that found great on record but live is a whole 'mother story. Green Day and Far As Hell are 2 live bands that blow the audience away. They should tour together..
