I miraculously got picked to play guitar for Jesus of Suburbia, and here's a clip that one of my friends at the show graciously recorded while I was onstage. To answer some questions up front:
1. Billie asks me going into "Dearly Beloved" if I can sing, and I say to him that my mind is racing (which it was, trust me), at which point he mouthed the first words of the verse to me to keep things rolling. He does the same thing for the next verse.
2. Right before "I Don't Care, Billie runs up and points to the guitar, because I'm not playing the chord progression as it should be played. I was harmonizing with Jason White by sliding up octaves, but that wasn't how it was originally recorded.
3. I woke up the next morning and my left knee was killing me. I have no idea how I hurt it, but it's jazz, baby.
