- LYRICS -

Staring out of my window

Watching the clouds

Go rolling by

My friends are gone

I've got nothing to do

So I sit here patiently

Watching the clock

Tick so slowly

Gotta get away

Or my brains will explode

Give me something to do to kill some time

Take me to that place that I call home

Take away the strains of being lonely

Take me to the tracks at Christie Road

See the hills from afar

Standing

On my beat up car

The sun went down

And the night fills the sky

Now I feel like me

Once again

As the train comes rolling in

Smoked my boredom gone

Slapped my brains up so high

Give me something to do to kill some time

Take me to that place that I call home

Take away the strains of being lonely

Take me to the tracks at Christie Road

Mother, stay out of my way

Of that place we go

We'll always seem

To find our way

To Christie Road

Mother, stay out of my way

Of that place we go

We'll always seem

To find our way

To Christie Road

If there's one thing that I need

That makes me feel complete

So I go to Christie Road

It's home

It's home

It's home

It's home

It's home

Growing up... It's incredible as time goes on. This was in a time when Music seemed to transform before us. We live in the Dark Ages now. Art and God and difference is DEAD. Can we only feel sad, or remember that this Band did this...

So sad that Green Day was so good but devolved into writing shitty songs for kids jr high dances

Honestly, this feels like the most punk Green Day song to me. I still love Green Day, even though there newer songs don't sound as good to me. As long as we never have a night life again I will not hold anything against Green Day. I need to get a new Insomniac cd because mine is scratched to shit and it is the only album I own that isn't on my computer.

Listening to kerplunk and dookie with my buddies while smoking a bong in my friends house. Its funny how a song tied to an experience makes you remember the moment from the past. I feel bad for kids growing up in these times, they have no idea what good music is.
