I completely agree with you there pal. I thought the level design and new pulse pounding music of TNT Evilution was phenomenally stunning and a lot scarier than Doom and Doom II. Don't get me wrong, I love the original game and still play it but I felt that the developers of Final Doom bettered the game the best way they could. The Plutonia Experiment was also pretty sick as well despite the absence of any new music.

Evilution is a massive kick in the face, the game AND the soundtrack, it's even better than the original game hehe.

I don't know if any of you have played the game Final Doom: TNT Evilution but the music for Level 31 (The Egyptian Tomb style one named Pharaoh) as well as the part between levels where it shows your score was composed sampling the main intro/clean verse riff. Goes to show that the guys who created the music for Doom had great taste in metal.
