Feeling cheated - l adored the Easybeats - l had no idea of this group being in action, let alone before the 'beats' had officially broke up.Four Youngs' in one group!!!!! Then 2 of them went on to ACDC - some contrast!!!!!Very professional performance - but not an original Vanda Young song????

C´MON MARIANNE druhý hit skupiny GRAPEFRUIT, ktorý bol v UK rebríčku desať týždňov od 14. augusta 1968 a skončil na 31.m.V skupine vytvorenej v roku 1967 v Londýne boli traja bývalí členovia skupiny Tony Rivers and Castaways John Perry spev, gitara, Pete Swettenham gitara a Geoff Swettenham bicie, ktorých doplnili George Alexander vl.m. Alexander Young basová gitara, spev najstarší z bratov Youngovcov, ktorý zomrel 4. augusta 1997,Bob Wale spev, solová gitara a Mick Fowler organ.Názov si skupina zvolila podľa knihy Yoko Ono priateľky Johna Lennona. Po rozpade skupiny v roku 1971 obnovil Young s bratmi existenciu skupiny bez úspechu.

The Youngs much like The Jacksons, the Osmonds, The Wilsons and so many other musical families have produced an amazing number of talents over the years. You have Alexander here, plus George (The Easybeats) and Malcolm and Angus (AC/DC)!

Everyone wanted the Beatles sound back then and this certainly follows that path but with a bit or originality too. I remember the tune well, from an era when music was great!

cannonball.....i once stood outside john perrys house in rainham with a load of other fans for hours hoping for a glimpse....they were a fabulous band, had some really good songs. another time they were signing records in a tiny record shop in romford and we went found their car in the multi carpark and broke into the car and stole bits and pieces, i took a tie and later wrote to the band and told them what we had done and i got a hand written letter back saying i could keep it....happy days.

WOW! I haven't heard this song in years--about 44. Can it be that long ago? Such a beautiful sweet song. Thanks for uploading.

John Perry used to live next door to me in Rainham, Essex up until around 1974. I used to have a promo copy of Grapefruit Deepwater, but not too sure where it is now.

@Matthew85able Really? he doesn't sound like he is rehashing Zeppelin riffs, and displaying how little he understands about an original approach to the guitar the way his brothers do !!
