Sorry, prefer Soto's version. Also, not a fan of the original pre-chorus. Too cliche.

and I like so much the bluesy style he puts in this demos, much more feeling than Soto. Soto is just heavy metal voice, Goran is in another level o feeling.

I have this demo on cd. I will always think that Edman is more of an Westcoast/AOR singer then a Metal singer. On this Talisman songs that I would consider to be melodic metal Jeff Scott Soto sings with much more accuracy power and style. But I think that Jeff was helped by this demo to sing those songs "slicker" and without to much belting going on.

Jeff's voice? 'Harsh'? When the makers of Rock Star wanted the most generic Metal voice possible to provide the vocals for the main character... they tried out hundreds. But the moment they found Soto, it was like 'Stop the presses! We have located the least distinctive, utterly generic Metal singer in existence! This is our man!' These demos absolutely destroy the Soto versions.

Hmm to be honest this not near as good as with JSS. Sorry Göran ( beeing a friend of Göran for long) but this is better with the more harsh voice of Jeff, you sing fantastic though naturally!

Actually, I've always thought Edman's voice is a little thin... _except_ on the Diamond Mistress album.

Heh... strange that people can have such different perception. I have the opposite opinion, Edman's voice is too thin while Soto's voice seems more powerful to me.

@lueDiPa Soto's voice is too thin, in my opinion. He sounds a bit like a muppet.

Goran Edman...best Yngwie Malmsteen's singer.

@lueDiPa it'a just a different opinion... i prefer goran's voice, but i think Jeff Scott Soto it's a great singer on other songs... ;-)

In my opinion Jeff Scott Soto Band's version is better.. The power and the wickedness of his voice (after 90's years period) is absolutely amazing and unattainable
