It was established in 1949 to provide new employment opportunities in the south eastern portion of the South Wales Coalfield. Cwmbrân means "valley of the crow" in the Welsh language. So I was listening to Marc Marons WTF episode with comedian Doug Stanhope. Doug says in the interview that he lives in Bisbee, Arizona. So I go to the Wikipedia page for Bisbee, Arizona to find out more about the town. I read that it's a so-called "planned town". I don't know what that is so I click on the wikipedia page for "planned town".The article explains what a planned town is and lists a bunch of towns that are planned towns. In the list for The UK, Cwmbran is one of the planned towns. I see that name and wonder how it's pronounced, so I go to to Youtube and google the word "cwmbran" hoping to find a video where somebody pronounces it. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is the story of how I found this video.9 years ago
