Fleetwood Mac - Live performance of Gold Dust Woman in New York City during the Rumours tour. It's not Stevie's best vocal, but there are some fabulous wails towards the end. It sounds like she's dying at 6:10, and there's a very creepy high-pitched wail that starts up at 6:40. It's unnerving to say the least.

The late 70's to early 80's is the best live sounding Fleetwood Mac . They really rocked then.

Gold Dust Woman during its Rumours tour was Stevie at her best. She really gave it her all. Many times she would be sprawled out on the stage doing the wailing at the end. Oh how I miss her early performances. This one from NYC 1977 is still awesome in my book! Thanks for posting the audio (and the wailing is suppose to be creepy and haunting...makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up).

Jimmy Iovine produced Stevie's solo albums and had nothing to do with Rumors. That was Ken Caillat (Colbie's father) and Richard Dashut.

Stevie's "witchy" Rumours contribution, and one of her best. In the same vein as Rhiannon, and the Rumours follow-up "witchy" track Sisters of the Moon. This Nicks tradition ended with Mirage's Straight Back.

She was so completely coked out when she recorded this song (in a blacked-out studio, high and with a migraine, in one take) - this song is eerie in itself. It would stand to reason she was STILL doing coke and was into the spirit of the song when this was recorded! Thanks for posting!

Stevie had a unique voice and no question all of the looks.....but the most powerful female voice in ROCK history is without question ANN WILSON of Heart, even today Ann can wail...ck Kennedy Award Center tribute to Led Zepplin.....Ann and Nancy did Stairway to Heaven ..it was moving!!!!!
