I don't know that Ivan's vocal quality has diminished, but it did seem to me like he was struggling a bit. Maybe he was ill, like @Bostonshawn508 pointed out. I think part of it may be that he has been singing solo for so long, he may have had some difficulty adapting to quartet singing again, because it is very different singing in a group from singing solo.

wow you are a "so called pastor" and you has no praise about the song or it's message, but you criticize a man who has over a 25 year singing career? If you follow Ivan you would have know he was getting ov laryngitis and illness weeks prior but was devoted to showing up. Gary Sheppard, jim Hamill, Squire Parsons, Arthur Rice,George Younce,Glen Payne, Ernie Haase. I can go on for weeks..Voices won't last 4ever & who should care its all about GODS mssg to us. is that a stick in your eye i see?

You can also sign up at bsaworld.com and tell them you want to be notified when southern gospel groups are in your area. You select certain states so sometimes they still might be a little further away than you would like but you will know when and where they're performing. Ivan is fairly active on Twitter. I met him while he was performing with Gold City for my 21st birthday...still love him!
