of course they have some metal core influences, they are a prog metal band, probably the only one out of a few that ive listened to that are fucking amazing. In being a prog metal band they take several different sub-genres of metal, and they mix and match them flawlessly into eachother. And to top it off their lyrics are incredibly deep, and introspective, and to top that off, theyre highly exclusive and unadvertized. All that being said, Gojira is quite possibly the best band ever.
