When The HiFIs disbanded, Harry Elston and Floyd Butler formed The Friends of Distinction while the rest formed The Five Dimensions. Ex football great Jim Brown helped The Friends of Distinction to sign with RCA Records. Their first single at RCA was "Grazin' In the Grass" which became a mega hit on their first attempt. "Grazin' In the Grass" also went gold making The Friends of Distinction a popular group. Their follow-up to "Grazin' In The Grass" was a slow methodical heart song called "Going In Circles" released in July 1969. It too went gold.

truly hypnotic presentation by a grossly underated group

This is absolutely AWESOME, such a silky smooth Soulful vocal delivery... Dreamsville. Harmonies that soar. Its truly taking me into another dimension. The Epitome of an excellent Soul song. Heavenly I really love it.

I'm an ever rollin' wheel, without a destination real.I'm an ever spinning top, whirling around till I drop.Oh but what am I to do, my mind is in a whirlpool.Give me a little hope, one small thing to cling to.You got me going in circles (oh round and round I go)You got me going in circles(oh round and round I go, I'm spun out over you)I'm a faceless clock, with timeless hopes that never stop.Lord but I feel that way, of my soul. My soul is stay.Oh but what am I to do, my mind is in a whirlpool.Give me a little hope, one small thing to cling to.You got me going in circles (oh round and round I go)You got me going in circles(oh round and round I go) I'm spun out over you(I need you baby) over you (I need you baby) spun out over you.(I need you baby, I need you baby baby)I'm spun (I need you baby) I said I'm spun out over you (I need you baby)Spun out over you (I need you baby, I need you baby, I need you baby); 7 ]
