Released on CDR only through mailorder on AvalancheInc. Released on the 5th of December, 2000. Discontinued shortly afterwards. Reissued by Relapse Records on the 1st of April, 2003. After Justin Broadrick disbanded Godflesh, he chose to re-release the material, along with four remixes which were recorded in 1995.

Did I mention *Godflesh* to anyone? I think I vaguely recall drunkenly putting on the title track from this EP, *Messiah*, at a friend's house, explaining profusely that it was meant to be "chant-like."Forced descriptors aside, I've listened to a few of Godflesh's "main" albums, but this one -- the EP released only on CD-R for god knows what reason -- really stuck with me. It's only 4 tracks long and every one of them is great, so it was really just a matter of picking. And today, I picked the one that was stuck in my head.13 years ago
