Track 9.

Us And Them (1999):

Us and Them is Godflesh's fifth official album. Released on May 17th in Europe, June 8th is the US release date. As with Songs of Love and Hate, the album is influenced by breakbeats, drum and bass, industrial and even hip hop.

There are no live drums on this record, unlike the last release. Live to Lose is actually an older track, originally recorded in 1995, but never released. A dub counterpart was scheduled, but never released.

Lyrics:

no desire, no air to breathe

no desire, no need to seethe

i'm just a child

that's always been

i need to justify

just to survive

what i want

is what you get

but what i want

is not yours yet

what you want

you always get

but what you want

is not dead yet

Credits:

G. C. Green - bass

J. K. Broadrick - guitar, vocals

@ebronson78 You're perfectly right;those artists have to understand that there's no necessary need for flashbombs adn major labels to produce an athem;bands like Godflesh or Killing Joke prove it.Even on a level of underground community these bands have had a massive impact upon metal;unfortunately they don't lay down to buisness like back in the day

My personal favourite from the "Us and Them" album. Played this album to death when it came out. I thought it was the best and most original sounding stuff they did since "Streetcleaner" personally.
