My dad raised me listening to Glen Campbell. My dad will never know how much I admired him growing up. While he is still living I mourn for his love. He does not have this horrible disease but the words are true about him. He doesn't miss me in his life. He doesn't respond to the pain that he has caused me. I live across town and he doesn't miss me when I am here waiting on his love. He has no idea what I am going through.. Selfishly he does not miss me.. To those that have to go through this horrible disease with a family member please forgive me for shining a light on my pain...May God grant you the strength to get through this and may you know that they loved you until their memory took them away.. Take comfort in knowing that... You are loved, rejoice...

My brother in law has this disease and he is only 56yrs old.Seeing the way this disease slowly degenerates a man is awful and not to forget to see the family going through Alzheimers is hard in all situations in the way that a human being is slowly loosing his ability to function is a terrible act to endure for all of us in the family. So my thoughts go to Glen Campbells family and all the best for them and others who suffer in Alzheimers disease. It is in tough times that we search for something bigger than all of us maybe even inside of us and we must never forget to cherish the good times and the fond memories of the sweet moments.

This song is incredibly touching. I can relate with so much of it because my dad has dementia and has declined so much in just the last couple months. :'(

This absolutely breaks my heart. Watching Tim Mcgraw sing it last night did me in. What a true talent and what a shame. God bless him and his family during this awful time.

My dad died at 56 from familial early on set alzheimers disease. I miss him more and more as my life of an adult didn't begin until he was gone. Bless his sweet soul. This disease has stolen so many young people from our family. We are the 5%. This song..... has left an impact on me like no other. ♡ I am so truly sorry for anyone coping with this dreadful life stealing monster.
