FULL LYRICS:

I dreamed a dream in time gone by

When hope was high and life worth living

I dreamed that love would never die

I dreamed that God would be forgiving

Then I was young and unafraid

And dreams were made and used and wasted

There was no ransom to be paid

No song unsung, no wine untasted

But the tigers come at night

(But the tigers come at night)

With their voices soft as thunder

As they tear your hope apart

(As they tear your hope apart)

As they turn your dream to shame

And still I dream she'll come to me

That we will live the years together

But there are dreams that cannot be

And there are storms we cannot weather

I had a dream my life would be

So different from this hell I'm living

So different now from what it seemed

Now life has killed the dream I dreamed.

This.. This describes me so much... I'm just sitting here, crying, saying goodbye to the one person whom I love.. Who will not love me back.. *"Life is just a psychopathic game we're all forced to play, and our only way out is to either play to the end, or give up. Quite frankly, I'd rather give up than be put through this hellish game much longer."*

Lea and Idina duets are my favorite they sound soooooo good in this omg I just can't even. They're voices are so powerful and full of emotion. I think this is as good or maybe even better than the original.

Ow my ears. This does not sound better. Probably because Anne Hathaway was in character as a crying, woeful character, and whoeverthesegirlsare are just singing a song. Still, without that, their voices are too high. The "shame" part was built up from "high" to "ow ow my ears really hurt because this is high as my stoner friend in college"
