i can solve the prob about how they killed tanks with .50s they shot so it would skip and hit under the tank and that was really only because that would spark and ignite the napalm they droped on the tanks one of my gramps friend in AR was a p47 pilot he told me how they usually killed the tanks and the guy saying about the auto cannon is right we did not know how to make one that was really reliable that could fit in a plane bigger ones worked

The P-51D Mustang only had 6 50. cal browning. And the only reason american aircraft didn't have an auto cannon was because the USA didn't know how to make one that worked reliably. The 50 cal was all that we had available that would work. Actually do some research before you start trying to force your opinion of American superiority upon people.

I Don't mean to be a dick but the glacis plate is the weakest part of the front armor for any tank so a lot of things could pen the Glacis of sherman. That's my only gripe. I'm with you for everything else. Plus the only reason why American dominated was because of sheer mediocrity in large as hell numbers. The german's problem was that they never tested their tech enough to withstand the elements of a war.

Do you mean the P47? That is hardly the entire US fighters having 8 50. and by firing .50 instead of 20mm you sacrifice damage per shot. Also the Air to Ground advantage came from aircraft such as the Hawker Typhoon's air-to-ground rockets and bombs.

Exactly which aircraft was that? The P-51D had only 6 .50 caliber M2 machine guns with 1,880 total rounds.... And then the rounds were 400 rounds each on the inner pair, and 270 rounds each on the outer two. Either way you run out of ammo in less then a minutes worth of firing. Also how do you get 2000 rpm out of 8 guns firing at 500 rpm? Are you going 8x500=4000 then 4000/2=2000?
