Despite Richard's simplest lyric being misconstrued (the girls are not prostitutes) the original release is a celebrated piece of Australian pop production - Festival's first 24-track recording by Richard Batchens - the result of numerous overdubs, drop-ins and doubling of multiple guitar parts. The arrangement is humbly recreated in an XG-MIDI sequence while the Roland VG-8 uses the Dual-Amp model to enable rapid changing between rhythm and lead sounds using the expression pedal.
This recording was knocked off the night before setting up for Nowhere Man. Inadequate lighting resulted in a blurry capture but the performance is good enough... for youtube. The parts played here don't necessarily conform to my own transcription of the original recording.
