This is an amusing little song from Gilbert`s fourth album A STRANGER IN MY OWN BACKYARD . This is another of Gilbert`s songs with lyrics about everyday family life , like the great WE WILL and PERMISSIVE TWIT. This arrangement has always reminded me of those great `Hovis` bread adverts that were so popular here in the UK . Gilbert fans may recognise a famous location - Gold Hill in Shaftesbury , Dorset - used for the cover of his later album IN THE KEY OF G which portrayed Gilbert struggling down that hill with an upright piano under his arm !

@RWillemM Thanks Rob - it`s the kind of song you can have a little fun with ! Not sure if you agree , but I`ve always thought that this track would have fitted better on the album ` Himself ` three years earlier . It has the same feel as ` Permissive Twit ` and you can picture Ray in his cap etc. singing it as opposed to the way he looked in `74 .

@gosfanusa That would be a real challenge Joe with those crazy lyrics ! lol This location in Dorset `Gold Hill ` has been a popular tourist attraction for years , mainly due to that popular bread advert . It`s used for all kinds of things but I wonder how many Gilbert fans realized that album cover was the same location . I don`t suppose that advert was ever seen in America - or many other countries - so I hope this is of interest for fans outside of the UK .

@RAYalized This was fun to do Nicole ! Have you ever seen that advert - on that famous hill ? Maybe it was only seen in England . Now everyone will know about the strawberries ..... or they think they will .... lol Can you believe that last picture ? Two Gilbert references in one !
