An unusual song with great lyrics from the 2001 album IRLISH . The video is inspired by my favourite old Frankenstein movies featuring the legendary Boris Karloff .

Note - This video is just a humorous parody of Gilbert`s break into the music business and no disrespect is meant to Gilbert or his early manager Gordon Mills.

@trexmarcbolan Thanks - it won`t appeal to everyone but some people will get it ! lol It`s kind of a strange song so I thought I`d try something a bit different .

@mohawk3881 he he he .. isn't it nice to be inspired all day? Ray gives so much and we do our best to "interpret" when some ideas are running through our heads..well.. thinking about how to light a candle is only coming to my mind when I invite Ray for a nice dinner...!!! :-)

@RAYalized Don`t worry Nicole - I`m sure the viewers know the difference between Ray and Frankenstein !!!! Always thought this song has a `creepy` atmosphere about it - that rythm on the piano - that gave me the idea - and the crazy lyrics ! Now we know how to ` burn a candle at both ends ` ! lol

@ziearmo You could be right - it`s something he obviously felt strongly about because those lines are featured in large print on the back of the cd cover . Glad you like the video - I have a weird sense of humour ! lol

@ziearmo Just checked that - the Irlish album was released in 2001 and Jimmy Young retired from his daily radio show in 2002 - so yes he was on air at the time . Maybe there was a connection , it was certainly a reaction to something that someone said .

@birdman404 Thanks . Maybe `creepy ` is a better word for the video - but I like the song . I hope the humour lightens the mood !

@ziearmo Possibly Barry , There was an advert made for the press at the time that I saw . At the bottom of the ad it quoted lyrics from this song - but with a twist . It said " You can`t make music at your age - it simply isn`t done - Well balls to those who take that view like Radio`s Two and One ! " This was at a time when some older artists were being dropped from the playlists . I`m not sure if he was referring to any particular person .
