Never knew till recently that this was a direct cover of Carl Mann's 1959 version. Gerry has a better voice, but the original is still the original. For Carl Mann, this must have been the follow up to his version of Mona Lisa, another Nat Cole song. Mann is more rockabilly too. Check the originals here on YouTube. You'd be surprised.

Gerry was by far at his best with this group of pacemakers. Brother Fred on drums and Les Micquire on piano and Les Chatwick on bass. Thses guys could play "live" better then most of the early British fair. Watch the new Tami Show DVD you will see they did know thier material. Gerry is bigger today, but his backup band has no clue how to play like the early group......
