OK, I found Trent Reznor's "Closer". It doesn't sound any different from "Terrible Lie". I really think "Germs" is more original.

I can definitely hear the similarity between "Germs" and Nine Inch Nails' "Terrible Lie"; but I listened to as many songs titled "Closer" as I could find and none of them are anything like "Germs". So which "Closer" are we talking about? Is that the title of the song? or of the album? Or of the group? Could someone post a link -- preferably to a YouTube video? (And BTW I'd love this song even if it weren't parodying anything.)

One of the most brilliant style parodies, not only of NIN, but ever. Saw them perform live, and honestly, all the musicians are incredible. They can shift seamlessly from one genre to another, very honestly from country to pop to industrial goth to hiphop. Seriously, I think some of the audience didn't get the reference as much as the other parodies, like of Michael Jackson for example, simply because that audience didn't really know who Trent Reznor was.
