It's funny how early in his career and now again George wrote and is writting his own songs. It makes you wonder, does George think there's not enough good original material around?

The box-set became the best selling country box-set of all time. George Strait personally selected the 72 cuts for set.

I remember hearing an interview with George when this box set first came out and he laughed saying he didn't really like the songs he wrote when he was young and didnt think his fans would really like them very much. George I respect the hell out of you but man you were wrong about this, I love the first three songs on this set.
