It looks like I'm a year late, but the answer is the song "I won't dance" refers to the dance called "The Continental". The movie, "The Gay Divorsee", shows the dance. It's a wonderful move, by the way. If you do a search, you can easily find a Youtube clip of this.

Save me from ignorance, when Sinatra sings " especially when you do the Continental" on his song " I won't dance". Does he refers to this song?. Thanks in advance.

My Mum and dad had this record. I seem to remember a lovely one chord mambo on the b side called "Down Cuba Way" or something like that. Any chance of putting that on YouTube? Nice.

I have it on an LP: MGM SE-4169 'The Very Best of George Shearing. I saw George in person at the Earle theater in Philadelphia either in late 1949 or 1950. That's how long I've been an aficianado. Good luck finding the LP. I would post it but frankly I don't have the capability or knowledge to do so.
