You know what Bryan, your voice would work really well in a sort of reggae style to this song. Not taking anything away from your performance because its a smooth interpretation but to add some character to your performance you might stylize this song with a reggae vibe. Your voice would work really well in this regard. Character makes all the difference and that is why George Michael will never be out performed in the songs that he sung. But that doesn't mean you can't shine in your own way. If you want recognition you need to develop a character style.
