Like sooooo damn many of his songs, this is my currant favorite. I have been totally enamored with George and his music since a was a youngster back in about 1980. I can't explain how he speaks to my soul like a cattle prod sometimes and sometimes like a father and more recently a grandfather. His music is always the same and I have changed in so many ways over the last 35 years. I always know that every song will hold a new and entirely different meaning to me as the years pass. If you ever had a fan George, it is me. So many divorces drunken times, nights, weeks and months in jail ( me, not you) and everyday its like I hear this song again...for the first time.

I want to find the five people that gave this a thumbs down and kill their children. But, the truth is that we know that there were simply five people that were so stricken with emotion that they clicked the thumbs down accidentally. I have done that before. I felt so damn awful.

The man was, and still is...beautiful. There will never be one better. The saddest part of all, is how country these days, lost its true roots and strayed too far from the sound that made it glistening gold. To hear country music at it's very best, one needs to look no further than the true king of country himself..., George Jones.George will forever live on through his great music, and thankfully there is an abundance of it to be enjoyed.Lucky enough to have seen him live once and it's one of my favorite memories that will be cherished till the day I die.

Not saying he shouldn't be, just way too soon when there are so many that should have been in before him. Like Jack Greene, Stonewall Jackson, Jim & Jesse, Dave Dudley,Jerry Reed, Lynn Anderson, Dottie West,The Maddox Brothers & Rose, Johnny Paycheck, John Hartford, The Glaser Brothers, Ricky Skaggs,Johnny Horton, Jerry Lee Lewis. Shall I continue? Do you even know half of these artist, or are you just a raving Vince Gill fan? I like Vince too, I just thought it was too soon, like Garth Brooks.

No you don't know anything if you think Vince Gill who is called Sweet Pea should not bee in the Country Music Hall of fame if that is what you are referring to....you don't know jack about country music IF that's the case. You need to pick a different field of music to critique.
