The legendary George Jones passed away today at the ripe old age of 81. It's only fitting that I post something of his in tribute. The Possum had countless hits over the years and I'm sure a quick search will find thousands of people posting performances of "The Grand Tour," "The Race Is On," "The One I Loved Back Then," "Radio Lover," and "Golden Ring." I decided to do something a little different and post a rendition of George Jones covering the Merle Haggard song "Sing Me Back Home." This is from the album, "Kickin' Out the Footlights. (Jones sings Haggard... Haggard sings Jones)" It's a pretty neat concept and I think hardcore fans of Haggard & Jones will enjoy it. RIP Possum. Thanks for the music. I have allot of respect for The Great Merle Haggard but in this case I think I like Georgs version his voice has a different passion that makes the song more emotional
