Modern Sounds Volume 1 and 2 are two of the most important pop albums made in the last 50 years. Ray damn near single-handedly changed it all.

"With the blood from my body, I could start my own Still...And if drinking don't kill me her memory will".... George Jones had a flair for expressing hurt, though this is a bright and upbeat whimsical tribute to friendship.May ALL of you live long, happy, and prosperous lives, d#GeorgeJones #RIP #Hurt

I still find it hilarious that Ray Charles sings, "I didn't see a thing." Well, we could have guessed that Ray! You didn't have to tell us.

If I were forced to pick my two favorite musicians in this world and ONLY two...It would have to be Ray Charles and George Jones.

haha Ray Charles had to have a sense of humor when George ask him to sing on this one.

I owned the "Friendship" album, then the cassette and now the CD. Still play and enjoy it. Ray did as much for country music as he did for the blues. His 1962 album, "Modern Sounds In Country And Western Music," brought country to a whole new mainstream audience.
