George Jones is without a doubt the best country singer in the last 50 years. There is not a song of his that I don't like. I am 58 and I first heard GJs music when I was 12. Been a fan ever since. Thanks to all who have taken the time to post his many recorded gems.

No, he was and still is 100% straight--and if he isn't, it'll go to the grave with him, because he is the reigning King of Country Music. Like many talented musicians, he has many gay fans, as did his former wife, Tammy Wynette. You're going to get nasty replies from people like this clownsky character. The country music world and many of its fans are notoriously, vehemently homophobic--something else they have in common with African Americans! That remark should incite a riot.

I grew up listening George as well. I became a classical musician (orchestral) but never....ever, stopped listening to the great George Jones. He's one of a kind.
