I have been collecting all my life as well. Like I said I started in the mid 70's when I was a kid around 13. However, I usually would just buy his latest record releases as they came out, so I don't have much that dates back further than the mid 70's when I first fell in love with ol' George's music. Do you know some of the names of the older albums that I might look for?

@KLUNKET I 've been collecting Jones stuff all my life, but one year in the early 80's I went to Nashville and struck the mother load at Conway Twitty's record shop. Now a days there are box sets you can get of the early stuff. Oh and that is supposed to be George in that cartoon, whether it looks like him or not.

The painting in this video at 1:44 doesn't look too much like the ol' Possum, looks more like Charlie Rich... awesome song however- where do you find these older Jones songs? I have a ton of George's stuff, but mostly from the mid 70's through today. I'd love to find some of this older stuff. Jones has been a recording artist since 1955 so that leaves me 20 years worth of "George Jones" music to collect!
