George was a high school drop-out. School has very little to do with musical talent. Half of Nashville probably have masters degrees in music at this point. Still, you can't complain about "these modern guys'" lack of talent; it's today's AUDIENCES who do not demand or reward talent--or even know what it is. Producers are only going to back what sells--and that goes for Nashville or Memphis just as well as New York or Hollywood.11 years ago
