It's both interesting and very fresh to hear this in its rawest conceptual form. Its message is so much the clearer sans the final version's over production.

When George heard the finished version on the LP he hated it. Eric persuaded him to keep it, it was his favorite track on the LP. George ended up liking it because Eric liked it...the finished version is amazing and for all the shit that Spector takes he deserves full credit for that one.

I love Penny Lane what is wrong with that? And that unforgettable beetles voice. When they speak pr sing it’s like one vice. I tell you Penny Lane is real. But of course actually your right, it's not Penny Lane, I meant Strawberry Fields. Nothing is real Strawberry Fields are forever. I don't mean to wind you up, but that how it sounds to me. And it’s so great that we have the Beatles still with us. It gives the sense of eternity that is in us all. I know is Steve nut. Indeed he is!!!

Only need one of The Beatles to sound like The Beatles. Reminds me on Penny Lane. Great sound. He still has brilliant voice. But you got to have some Wah Wah!!!

Is this in open D tuning with a capo? Or just standard tuning for guitar?
