Is this from his last public interview/tv appearance? It's awfully good. He had just the kind of voice for this type of music. Pity he didn't sing it on the Wilbury album.

God loves us. Proof? George was here.

With all deference to Bob, this is better than the original by a fair amount. Simple, spontaneous and sung with perfect pitch, both musically and philosophically. God love George, the best low-key superstar of all time.

This is precious to me. Thank you so much for posting it. It makes me yearn for George, which in itself is not unusual, but just more so. Love you, George, and miss you so.

Such a great moment - love the interviewer's smile towards the end, as he looks at the other guests - thinking "Wow, what a moment, we have succeeded in getting George to play us a song! A lesson in how to contain delight!

It was in 1997. So about 4 years? I believe this is around when he was first diagnosed with cancer.

also george had great tone and timing he just played the proper amount of notes as needed not too many or too few just the right recepie of lead guitar needed for the song. and added his own touch to many of the beatles greatest songs, without his guitar the songs would have not been the same, as paul said as an example george added the right notes in the song, I love her, to make it the song it is.the intro 4 notes but that makes the song. He could also play some mean string bends on abbey road

also alot of beatles songs are way harder to play then you would think. the chordes and arraingements were very advanced and not simple at all that is why their fellow musicans looked up to them evev dylan said their chordes were outragious and george was the reason for that.even songs like i want to hold your hand were complex in the arraingements, not just simple chords.

Also watch the video of george playing till there was you live then you will see even as a young man he was a polished guitar man.

He was humble and he did not show off. He just played what he needed to and with great tone and technique. John and Paul let him in the group because he was a great lead guitar player and both of them could not play lead live. He could play so many styles and his slide guitar is amazing.

I remember seeing this interview on MTV. It was amazing. He also plays All Things Must Pass. I believe it was shortly before his death, but to me he doesn't look sick here at all....
